Abstract

"House of the Month" piece on Kennebunk's Taylor-Barry House located at 22 Summer Street which is currently listed for $1.425 million. The home was built in 1803 for William Taylor and was purchased by the Barry family in 1841. One of the former residents of the house was Edith Cleaves Barry, a society portrait painter and world traveler who also founded Kennebunk's Brick Store Museum. With sidebar on the Brick Store Museum curator's usage of Twitter to highlight comments from Barry's travel journals.
