Abstract
There is a historical connection with clogs to many of Maine's Franco-Americans, which dates back to the period when King Charles VIII of England to Anne of Brittany, who wore clogs and when the rural population of France wore them as well. Sobots as they are called in French, also forms the root for "Sabotage" and the etymology of the word is described. [images]
