Abstract

Maine is home to several bands who cover famous bands. Among them are The Beautiful Ones, lead by Dean Ford and which covers Prince; Pardon Me Doug, with musicians Benjamin St. Clair, Kevin Roper, Chris Chasse and Cameron Gray and covers Phish; and the Maine Dead Project which covers the Grateful Dead. A description of The Clash of the Titans, a live series in which musicians compete while covering their favorite bands and held at Portland's Empire is included. [images]
