Abstract

Seaside Inn of Kennebunk celebrates 12 generations of uninterrupted family ownership and 350 years. Day's Jeweler's celebrated 100 years of service in 2014, having been founded in the Old Port by Captain Harry Davidson in 1914. L.L. Bean's Duck Boots celebrate over 100 years. Created in 1912, over 1 million of these boots are produced annually. Ripley & Fletcher of South Paris is still selling Fords after being in business almost from the beginning in 1909. Giovanni Amato's sandwich shop named after the founder, Amato's will celebrate 100 years in 2020. The original shop opened in 1920 on India St. in Portland.
