Article about a harrowing rescue mission aboard the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Jefferson Island, which is permanently stationed in Portland Harbor. The Jefferson Island helped to rescue the crew of the Gloucester, Mass.-based 70-foot stern trawler F/V Lauren Ann in rough seas.
