Abstract

"Interview" piece with actress Kelly Preston, 39, who summers on Islesboro in Penobscot Bay with her husband, actor John Travolta, and their children. Preston said she values the seclusion and privacy of their summer retreat, and becomes inspired to bake pies and make jam while there. Preston is an active spokesperson for the Children's Health Environment Coalition, which works to protect children from chemicals and pesticides in homes. Preston's career is in high gear these days. This year she had roles in the films "A View From the Top" and "What a Girl Wants." She has filmed roles for two other movies - "The Cat in the Hat" and "Eulogy" - which will be released within the year.
