Abstract

A look at the many actors who have started out at Portland Stage Company (PSC) and gone on to stardom, with comments by the performers on their experiences at PSC. Well-known alumni of the company include Sarah Jessica Parker, star of HBO's "Sex in the City;" Jennifer Gray, known for her lead in the film "Dirty Dancing;" Alicia (Lecy) Garanson who portrayed Becky on the sit-com "Roseanne;" and Claudia Shear, Polly Pen, Dan Harvey, Rosemary Prinz, Hamish Linklater, Israel Horovitz and Nilo Cruz.
