Abstract

"Outdoor Adventure" piece on the WinterKids Passport Program, which awards every fifth, sixth, and seventh grader with a whole season of free skiing at 17 of Maine's downhill areas, 19 cross-country ski centers, and free skating at seven ice arenas. Christy Murray, project director, said the goal of the program is for families to develop a healthy lifestyle together that continues as the children get older.
