Abstract

Profile of Portland-born indie-musician Laurie Jones, 30, who now lives in Ellsworth. Jones says that her band hasn't been embraced by Portland audiences as much as it might have, adding that the band concentrated on playing in London and Halifax. Jones wrote the theme song for this year's Maine Games, and will perform it in Portland in June, along with the National Anthem, at the Games' opening ceremonies.
