Abstract
Article on The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, which, after decades as a mixed-use building, is poised to return to its performing arts roots. A group of area residents formed The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, and recently musician Jackson Browne became the Opera House's first live act. In March 2004, the nonprofit organization hired executive director Stephen Coppick, who went to work on the Opera House's inaugural summer season. The 2004 season will combine live theater and concert attractions with vocal and instrumental performances. The Opera House was originally founded in 1894 by the Knights of Pythias.
