Abstract

Brief profile of Brian Daly, the 2004 winner of the second annual Maine Screenwriter's Contest sponsored by The Maine Film Office in Augusta. "Salt Hay," his winning screenplay, is a coming-of-age story set at a beach in Maine. A 1972 graduate of Deering High School and a 1976 graduate of the University of Maine in Orono, Daly received his masters at USC Film School. His "Big and Hairy," a full-length feature for Showtime, was previously published as a novel by Pocket Books.
