Abstract

When Bob Waskiewicz of Boston purchased a Cape Porpoise fisherman's shack in 2002, it came with a covenant from the town of Kennebunkport that denied the owner the right to sleep in the home. Waskiewicz bought the property for $165,000 anyway, and went to battle with the town. Common sense prevailed when the case was heard in the York ounty Superior Court and Waskiewicz is enjoying overnights on the property that is now valued at $300,000 to $500,000.
