Abstract
Hotels, inns, and B&Bs are increasingly welcoming dogs as guests, and some Portland shop owners find that having a resident canine and allowing dogs in the store is good for business. The Hounds Tooth Inn in Kennebunk and other area inns and hotels cater to visitors with dogs. The Eastland Park Hotel in Portland, which once refused Eleanor Roosevelt's dog, Fala, now gives out a doggie packet at the front desk. Portland has a number of businesses geared to pets and is seen as a dog-friendly city. With pet-related information on the Portland area for travelers and residents.
