Abstract

Article reporting that Maine gun buyers are snatching up assault rifles before a national ban, recently passed by Congress, takes effect. David Fleury, of D. L. Fleury's in Winthrop, Maine's second largest gun dealer, said gun lovers like assault weapons, like the Colt AR-15, because they are inexpensive and fun to use. Fleury noted that he usually sells about 2 assault rifles a day, but yesterday he sold nine by 1:30 P.M.
