Abstract

An eight-year-old Biddeford boy who in May was charged with attempted arson yesterday started a fire that heavily damaged an apartment building at 39 Franklin Street. The fire forced 21 people into the street, and one person was treated for smoke inhalation and two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion. The boy was charged with felony arson, and has been placed in Jackson Brook Institute in South Portland. Details.
