Abstract

Someone is apparently trying to realize some financial gain from the tragedy of Amanda Watts, the 9-year-old girl from Westbrook who choked on a hot dog and is now receiving blood-purifiying treatments at Boston Children's Hospital. A person identifying herself as the organizer of a legitimate fund-raising effort to help Amanda, and her family has been soliciting donations by telephone but is, in fact, not associated with the Amanda Watts Fund.
