Abstract

University of Southern Maine professor of epidemiology Douglas Thompson has just released the results of a study which shows that women with family histories of breast cancer have only a slightly increased chance of getting breast cancer themselves. Thompson based his conclusions on data collected in the 1980's for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's Cancer and Steroid Hormone Study. Details.
