Abstract

The Midcoast Cooperative Borrowing Program, which links five libraries in Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties, offer services to the residents of fifteen communities. In light of the Legislature's recent elimination of state subsidies to local libraries, formal sharing arrangements between libraries has emerged as one option for dealing with financial constraints.
