Abstract

The Legislature is considering a bill which would rquire major property owners taxpayers to pay their entire property tax bills before they could appeal even a portion of it. The proposal stems from Bath Iron Works' refusal to pay $1.25 million in city taxes to Bath while the assessment is being appealed. Details.
