Abstract

The Maine State Retirement System will buy $10 million worth of Finance Authority of Maine loans, and Fame will in turn provide MSRS with a 100 percent state guarantee of those loans. The lower interest rate that MSRS receives will be passed to the businesses that take out the loans, which should be good for the economy.
