Abstract

Vyacheslav Rokitzk and Victor Mantitkovski, both 23 and from the Ukraine, escaped from their Russian fishing ship on July 17 while it was moored in Casco Bay. The two were in the Cumberland County Jail until Tuesday, when they were released on bail, and are now staying in Augusta with a fellow Ukrainian who jumped ship in Portland last year. Details on the alleged abuses they suffered by their Russian shipmates.
