Abstract

Fourth installment in a five-part series on educational funding in Maine. Gov. John McKernan last year created a task force to evaluate the state's system of educational funding. Initial indications are that the 22-member panel will recommend an alternative to the current system that considers more than just property valuations in determining the wealth of a school district.
