Abstract
Detailed profiles of five immigrants: Suzuko Hiraoka Laplante, the only Japanese resident of Livermore Falls; Antoinette Bernier, matriarch of an Epping, NH, French-Canadian family; David Breggia, whose Little Italy community on Portland's Munjoy Hill was demolished in the redevelopment of the 1950s; the Pasechnik family of Richmond's Russian Colony on the Kennebec River; and John Anagnostis, whose father emigrated from Greece and opened the Olympia Fruit Store in Saco.
