Elizabeth Shanes, 84, is a member of Portland's Perennial Effects dance group, directed by Betsy Dunphy. Although she quit dancing in her 20s after having her first child, she has been part of this community dance group for years. Widowed by two husbands and losing her memory, she yet appreciates her ability to move.
