Abstract

The Maine Turnpike Authority has plans to construct a $3 million maintenance complex on 27 acres in York, irregardless of the fact that the project would violate local zoning regualtions. The turnpike is exempt from municipal zoning laws. Gov. King is debating whether to merge the MTA into the Maine Department of Transportation.
