In 1994, local beers accounted for two percent of beer sales in Maine, an astonishing amount for an industry that didn't exist ten years ago. Maine ranks fourth in the country in breweries per capita, with 16, and there are five more being planned. Profiles of the state's microbreweries and brewpubs.
