Abstract

Editorial on Kenetech Windpower's proposed 210-megawatt windpower project in the Boundary Mountains. Despite allegations of conflicts of interest because of Gov. King's ties to the project's chief representative, Chris Herter, and problems at the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission, the project's assets are considerable, and opponents have yet to build a credible case against it.
