Abstract

Related articles on the author's experiences after answering an advertisement from The Portland Group, a satellite of Equinox International. The Portland Group's ad assured people that they would make millions while working to save the environment, but the whole deal resembled a pyramid scheme. Consumer complaints have been lodged against Equinox affiliate offices nationwide, and Equinox Chief Executive Officer Bill Gould was cited for running a pyramid scheme in California.
