Abstract

Profile of state representative George Kerr, a Democrat from Old Orchard Beach and chairman of the Maine Legislature's Appropriations Committee. Kerr, who has a blunt and forceful approach, isn't getting any accolades for being a nice guy in the Legislature, and liberal Democrats question his loyalty to party principles. Kerr said that he serves on the de-appropriations committee, and that someone has to tell people there is no money.
