Abstract

John Rensenbrink of the Maine Greens journeyed to Washington, D.C., to invite consumer activist Ralph Nader to be the party's presidential candidate. Nader has already agreed to appear on the ballot as the Green Party candidate in California, but says he has no intention of running a traditional campaign. Rensenbrink said Nader will likely decide on appearing on the Maine ballot by the end of the month. The party will have to garner five percent of the vote in the upcoming presidential election to stay on the ballot in Maine.
