Abstract
George Denny of Freeport, founder and chairman of Cole-Haan Footwear & Accessories, has proposed converting 100 acres of fields and woods in Wilsons Mills on the Magalloway River into a ten-lot subdivision. The Maine Land Use Regulation Commission must decide later this month whether to allow a rezoning for residential development. Virtually all of Wilsons Mills' 38 inhabitants are opposed to Denny's plan, and their opposition has already forced a reduction in the scale of the project. Details.
