Abstract
Editorial on the conversion of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maine from nonprofit status to for-profit status as a mutual company. The Maine Legislature's Banking and Insurance Committee is considering LD 1513, which would allow the conversion. The author believes more deliberate consideration is needed regarding the bill.
