Abstract

The Legislature's Human Resources Committee is endorsing McKernan administration proposals to emphasize the personal responsibility of participants in ASPIRE (Additional Support for People in Retraining and Education) by making policy changes in the program. Changes would include no longer paying for participants' college classes and requiring some participants to get a job rather than continue with their education.
