Abstract
Winter Harbor Associates of New York proposed harvesting 3,000 acres of timber in Winter Harbor and Gouldsboro adjacent to Acadia National Park. Dave Warren Co., the forestry firm hired to oversee the cutting, and the nonprofit Friends of Acadia signed an agreement on a moratorium on harvesting the 1,600 acres of the parcel closest to the park. The northern part of the parcel will soon be cut. Details.
