Abstract

Juan Perez, a former Spanish teacher at Cape Elizabeth High School, has proposed the 94-unit subdivision Dominicus Crossing for a 205-acre parcel abutting his house in Cape Elizabeth. The project clusters some houses, preserves open space, protects wetlands, provides five miles of public hiking trails, creates neighborhoods and includes some affordable housing. Cape Elizabeth Town Planner Maureen O'Meara says the project, which has drew little opposition, designs neighborhoods instead of subdivisions. Dominicus Crossing is currently in the permitting process, with final approval anticipated for this summer and construction expected to be phased in over the next six to eight years. Details.
