Abstract

A 1,600-acre parcel on Schoodic Point in Winter Harbor was set to be logged last spring, but the group Friends of Acadia worked out a deal with the Dave Warren Company to postpone the cutting while FOA looked for a buyer for the property. Warren informed FOA that the unidentified landowner is no longer interested in selling the property, but the purchase of a conservation easement is still possible.
