Abstract
Bowater Inc., owner of Great Northern Paper Co., is in discussion with state officials concerning the sale of a parcel of land. The deal would constitute the largest expansion of Baxter State Park since the 202,064-acre wilderness was given to the state by former governor Percival Baxter. Details of the agreement are being closely guarded, and neither party would comment.
