Abstract
Broadcast companies are the chief beneficiaries of the millions of dollars spent on advertising during a political campaign. WMTW-TV was paid more than $24,000 by Ban clear-cutting for running advertisements for four days in October. U.S. senator-elect Susan Collins paid WGME-TV more than $11,000 from October 1-11, and paid WCSH-TV $60,716 over a five-day period. Details.
