Abstract
Boynton McKay Drug Store of Camden, which had operated for 103 years in a brick building beside the Megunticook River, closed on Christmas Eve. Druggist Sam Jones, 56, said he couldn't compete with Wal-Mart, prescription drug plans and people who shop by car instead of by foot. Janet McKay, owner of the building housing Boynton McKay, said it will not be turned into a T-shirt shop.
