Abstract

Four Biddeford Middle School girls, ages 12 and 13, were treated at Southern Maine Medical Center yesterday after having taken Tylenol, a prescription drug for diabetes, and perhaps other pills. The stomach of at least one of the girls was pumped, but officials do not know much of the medications were taken. Police Chief Robert Beaupre is concerned that the incident might have been a "copycat" event, prompted by an incident in Woburn, Mass., where 13 teenagers at a youth dance overdosed on a muscle relaxant.
