Abstract

The Natural Resources Council of Maine on Tuesday released the results of a new poll that shows overwhelming support for the environmental protection. The poll contacted 550 likely voters by telephone, and 63 percent of respondents said protecting the environment was a high priority. NRCM would like to translate the poll results into support for L.D. 1092, which would require the Maine Forest Service to make public information about clear-cutting, herbicide use and other forestry practices the agency collects.
