Abstract
Details on last week's public hearing befoe the Maine Legislature's Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee, which is considering a measure that would protect from development 4.5 million acres of timberland. L.D. 1198 was opposed by the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission, Gov. King, the forest products industry, property rights activists and others.
