Abstract

The North Haven school board last week voted 3-2 to seek a full-time superintendent, despite a 62-32 vote by islanders against such a move. Kennebec County Superior Court Judge John Atwood issued a temporary restraining order preventing the board from replacing Barney Hallowell, a teaching principal. The board earlier voted to replace Hallowell with a full-time principal. Details.
