Abstract
John Andrews of Saco has proposed running a bicycle path from Portland through South Portland through southern seacoast towns into New Hampshire. Much of the proposed path would follow a rail line, abandoned in the 1940s, that is now part of the gas line corridor owned by Granite State Gas Transmission Inc. John snow, president of Granite State, has endorsed one portion of the project, which led to support from several towns along the proposed route. Andrews would like to see every town along the proposed route endorse the project and make a multi-community request for a bridge crossing the Maine Turnpike.
