Abstract
A bill signed into law last Friday by President Clinton qualifies Central Maine Power Company (CMP) and Bangor Hydro for millions of dollars in federal disaster aid to help defray costs associated with the January 1998 ice storm. CMP president David Flanagan welcomed the bill's passage but was vague about what it might mean for ratepayers.
