Abstract
An article on new architecture in Maine, which derives mainly from the Cape Cod and Colonial traditions. Among those who diverge from this formula are Wiebke and Steven Theodore in Dresden Mills, whose home derives from the form of old New England mills, "organic architect" James Walter Schildroth, and James McNeeley, who built an unusual home in South Freeport.
