Abstract

Ken Keisler, conductor of the Illinois Symphony and teacher at the University of Michigan, has founded the Conductors Retreat at Medomak as a time and place to focus, rejuvenate, and refresh. There were 22 participants this year, taking advantage of the open curriculum of the program, which includes courses on body movement, and which aims to produce better conductors who can work together with their musicians.
