Abstract
Reviews of "Rockwell Kent's Forgotten Landscapes," by Scott Ferris and Ellen Pearce and of "Rockwell Kent on Monhegan," the inaugural exhibit of the rebuilt Monhegan Museum. With a related article on the Monhegan Museum's new buildings, designed by architect Christopher Glass. The buildings replicate a keeper's residence and outbuilding that were built in 1857 and razed in 1922. The new buildings are constructed on the footprint of the originals. The original structures appear in an Edward Hopper oil sketch of the lighthouse from 1916-19. With details on the life and work of Rockwell Kent.
