Abstract
Joe O'Donnell, owner of the Pilot Group in Portland, has been hired by the Northern Trading Company in Madawaska to turn around the failing perfume manufacturer. With about 110 employees, Northern Trading is the town's second largest employer after Fraser Paper, which has 1,000 workers. O'Donnell's first move was to file for federal Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.
