Abstract
"Just Looking" piece on the Maine College of Arts' (MECA) 4th annual Art Honors banquet, which was held in Portland on May 14. Neil Welliver, America's greatest landscape painter and a long-time resident of Lincolnville, was this year's winner of the MECA Award for Achievement as an Artist. The MECA Award for Philanthropic Leadership in the Arts was given to Guy Gannett Communications. And the MECA Award for Leadership in Public School Education was presented to Corliss Chastain, an artist who has taught at Maranacook Community School in Readfield since 1982.
